Rogue Mission to win online war against Liberals through social media collaboration

There are a lot of interesting things being done and shared online. And it’s all happening immediately, right now. Whoever controls this online medium controls the message. Liberals have the advantage in using social media effectively. To win the war of influence, conservatives must shape the conversation by acting quickly and boldly on the internet. That’s why I integrated a free idea management tool into the site “Rogue Missions”. Its purpose is to harness the wisdom and power of the “crowd”, to gather all ideas in one location, and to recruit a ragtag army of talented and technical people in order to defeat liberals and their harmful agenda while promoting good leaders through online activities. We can suggest and vote on ideas. Those with talent or skill can select the best ideas and work on them as their “Mission” or project. Missions may include creating satirical cartoons, viral videos, manipulated images, and interactive content, or drafting volunteers, or organizing rallies.

For decades, the news and entertainment media presented information with their bias. The impressionable youths thought that whatever they heard on the radio, saw on TV, or watched at the movies were socially and morally acceptable and cool. These days, the media is broadcasting their messages online and influencing young people. Worse, these youths create their own content, which repeats the liberal media’s message. This exponential spread has given liberals the advantage in publishing and sharing their ideas online in the form of written posts, videos, communities and discussions.

I had read a post by Adrienne Ross about how the youths have become brainwashed against certain ideas (like national pride and independence) or people (like Sarah Palin) as they interact online. The older demographics are also joining social media networks that are the domain of the young, such as Facebook, blog sites, and YouTube. But the younger generations that grew up with the Internet are still the primary source and social distributor of user-generated content like the “cool” videos and the “interactive” web blogs that gets the most attention (by going “viral”). To get the attention of younger demographics so that we can teach them the goodness, or “coolness” of ideas outside of liberalism, our side also needs to create sharable content.

There are many examples of online content by conservatives. Hot Air and Red State are right-leaning political blogs, and Conservatives4Palin rose in prominence for its thoughtful and investigative ways of promoting and defending Governor Sarah Palin. Newsbusters has a terrific evidence log of liberal media bias, while PalinTV compiles and categorizes Sarah Palin -related videos. But because there are fewer of us creating content online than liberals (that includes online comments/posts), we need a targeted approach. For the 2010 and 2012 elections, we need people to suggest and carry out action items that will spoof the media, mock the liberals, and turn opinion positively for good leaders like Sarah Palin. There are plenty of ideas to promote conservatism and ridicule liberalism and socialism. But there’s never enough time to do them. How would one know which are the best issues to tackle and the best methods to use? One person cannot answer this, but a group of people can! By sharing and acting on the very top ideas (based on the community’s votes), we can be both efficient and effective.

I was inspired to create this Idea-generating community by articles about the technical gap between parties, the liberalism of the youth, the misinformation spread by liberals online, my own experiences, and by Sarah Palin’s astute and effective use of online posts and video (“Mama Grizzlies”). Palin is the ultimate political rogue, and it felt appropriate to name the site “Rogue Missions” because its participants will be rogue freedom fighters that will take on small and large online “mission” projects that will defeat our liberal enemies at their own game. Each of us with desire and dedication can pick up our figurative “weapons”—each of us has something to contribute in time, talent or skills. We must fight such battles in order to win the political war!

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
Note: before being able to post, vote or comment, you will need to log in. It’s easy! You can use any of your already existing account (Twitter, Google, OpenID, etc.), or you can register for the Rogue Missions site. OpenID allows you to log in with your account with MySpace, LJ, Blogger, WordPress, and more — instructions are at http://openid.net/get-an-openid

Visitors can suggest an idea.
  • First, check if the idea already exists. Type relevant keyword(s) in the search box found at the top of the page.
  • If the idea is not among the search results, type your new idea in the suggestion box. Specify which category it belongs to: Artwork, Fundraising, Video, Writing, etc, AND for which person(s): Sarah Palin, good leaders, or bad politicians/biased media).
  • Type in only one idea per suggestion box!
  • You will need to be logged in to submit your idea, vote or comment.
  • Follow that idea thread and check if others have voted or commented on your idea!

Visitors can vote on ideas and discuss them with others in the community.
  • Ideas with the most votes will move to the top of the list. Ideas can be ranked compared to all ideas, or only to those in the same category (by activity and target).
  • Use the category list on the left to browse ideas by topic.
  • See which ideas are in review, in progress, or in the completed phases.
  • Comment, enhance, or discuss proposed ideas with your fellow freedom fighters!

Visitors can use their skill to bring to life an idea that has been proposed.
  • If you have a talent or skill (for example, in writing, web development, video-editing, artwork creation, organizing, or protesting) that matches an idea, post a comment to claim the mission. You may also email roguemissions@gmail.com
  • Note: Although multiple rogue agents can work on the same mission and deliver different products for the same idea, we would prefer if agents would attempt another popular idea that has not been claimed. This way, many ideas get accomplished.
  • Use the left-hand category list to browse through ideas that match your talent or skill.
  • When doing a project, consider how it will be used, distributed, accomplished. Ask yourself if you’d like to put a logo/watermark on it, a signature, or your contact info.
  • Once you finish your mission, upload the product in that idea’s “attachments” section. Or post a comment detailing your activities and the link to your completed task.
  • You and our rogue army will strategize on the best way to spread your creation for maximum visibility online.

The functionality of this site was free but with limitations, so my apologies that it’s not as robust/designed the best that it could be. There’s a paid option, which I’m avoiding until I see how well the current site serves our goals. Interested rogue agents can work together through another online collaboration tool that I can set up if so needed.

Please tell others about the Rogue Missions site. We need creative thinkers to discuss ideas and skilled doers to accomplish them!
